Jewelry making is an industry that has been around for centuries. It has transformed materials like metals, precious stones, and even plastics into an artistic and unique piece.
Like in any other industry, the tools used in making these beautiful pieces of piercing jewelry have also evolved.
Today, new technologies like 3D printing can produce finished products in metal. But the most significant among these methods that are making a splash in piercing jewelry making is CNC machining.
An often overlooked but vitally important aspect of body jewellery is the surface finish. By surface finish piercers mean how well the jewellery is polished or if there are any coatings.
A good surface finish will be smooth, contain no nicks or scratches, have no inclusions and be proven safe.
A poor surface finish can irritate the piercing channel and cause a piercing to not heal, grow excess scarring or reject.
We MANUFACTURE jewelry pieces polished to a mirror finish. This way you don’t have any tiny crevices for bacteria to hide and/or to irritate the tissue.
This is what you want to see! A mirror finish will help dramatically with healthy healing.

MATERIAL OF PIERCING JEWELRY
Titanium is an extremely lightweight, elemental metal. The specific alloy used for body jewelry is 6AL4V ELI (6 parts aluminum and 4 parts vanadium with the remainder being Titanium), specifically 136 grade with extra low interstitial elements.
Titanium is the most bio-compatible of all metals due to its total resistance to attack by body fluids. Titanium is often used in permanent surgical implants where the tissue is encouraged to assimilate the implant; the pores in the metal allow for the tissue to attach.
When titanium is used for body jewelry it should be highly polished to minimize porosity. When exposed to air or water, titanium immediately reacts with oxygen to create a thin, inert oxide layer. While the titanium alloy contains aluminum and vanadium, the oxide layer does not contain any traces of either element.
Of the many stainless steels available, only 316L and 316LVM are appropriate for use as body jewelry. 316L is a low-carbon variety of 316. 316LVM is 316L that has been vacuum melted; the vacuum prevents any air or airborne contaminants to attach to the molecules in the metal, resulting in a more consistent steel. For most people, however, 316LVM steel is not a necessity to heal and maintain a healthy piercing.
316L / 316LVM stainless steel is comprised of several metals including nickel, to which some people are sensitive. However, the specific composition of 316L / 316LVM allows for very little exposure to the nickel molecules, thus reducing the risk of sensitivity.
The jewelry should be polished to a reflective shine (mirror finish), free from rough edges, tool marks, and wire-drawing lines and pitting which are present in the surface of the steel when it arrives from the mill. When polished, true 316L is a white, not grey, metal.
Titanium piercing jewelry anodizing is an electrochemical process that uses electricity and chemistry to change the color and surface properties of titanium:
The titanium is immersed in an electrolyte solution, like trisodium phosphate (TSP) or salts, and connected to a power source. When an electrical current is applied, the water molecules split into hydrogen and oxygen, and the oxygen is forced onto the titanium’s surface. This creates an oxide layer that improves the titanium’s resistance to corrosion and wear.
The color of the oxide layer can be controlled by adjusting the voltage and the length of time the titanium is in the solution. The result can be a wide range of colors, including bright yellows, greens, violets, and blues.
Titanium is hypoallergenic, strong, and resistant to damage, making it a popular choice for jewelry and piercings. Anodizing can also be used industrially to increase the corrosion resistance of metals like aluminum.
Electroplating is a method of coating an object by placing it in a solution containing the desired metal and applying an electrical current. There are four main reasons for electroplating jewelry: to change the color, to add value with a layer of a more expensive metal, to prevent tarnish such as with silver plating and rhodium plating.
Usually, most customers electroplating GOLD on Titanium. For surgical steel piercing jewelry, usually they electroplate Gold,Blue,Black,Rainbow,Rose Gold and other colors can customized.

CUBIC ZIRCONIA & OPAL
Cubic zirconia is a manmade substance. It’s created by melting powdered zirconium and zirconium dioxide together. Since they’re man made, they’re flawless, unlike natural diamonds.
Cubic zirconia can be mixed with other elements to emulate the different colors of diamonds or other gemstones. Unless you’re a major jewelry aficionado, you won’t be able to tell the difference between your cubic zirconia gemstones and your diamonds.
Cubic zirconia isn’t as hard as diamonds, and therefore, more fragile (although it isn’t as fragile as glass or other gemstone alternatives).
To select the color of a cubic zirconia, consider the desired aesthetic of your jewelry piece, choosing from a wide range of colors like clear (most common, mimicking diamond), pink, blue, green, yellow, or even black.
Factors to consider when selecting a colored cubic zirconia:
Color intensity: Some colors may be more vibrant or muted depending on the manufacturing process.
Clarity: Even colored CZ should have good clarity with minimal inclusions.
Cut: The cut of the stone significantly affects how light interacts with the color, impacting its brilliance
Opal is a natural gemstone. This is an organic gemstone that grows naturally in deep underground fissures. It’s quite rare to find in its original form as it’s usually found as a by-product of mining activities.
Once mined, the opal must undergo various processes to reveal its beautiful colors. Some of these processes include heating in a controlled environment, high-pressure washing to remove dirt and lose minerals, and finally polishing the piece. These processes are not only expensive but can also damage the opal. This is why opals need to be treated very carefully.
We can all learn something from a gemstone. Here are some things we can learn from opal stones:
• They are strong and resilient. They do not break easily or get damaged.
• They are very resilient to temperature change. Opal does not soften when exposed to extreme heat or freeze. It’s like a thermos bottle.
• They are beautiful to look at. They can be colored white, blue, green, purple or red. Opal is colorless.
• They can be cut into different shapes and sizes, such as a ring, bracelet, pendant or gemstone.
With over 200 years of jewelry heritage behind us, opals are among the rarest gemstones in the world. They were discovered in Australia but can be found in many other countries in the southern hemisphere, including South Africa and Madagascar. They’re thought to come from meteorites that fell in the earth’s mantle around four billion years ago and were slowly buried. Today, they’re formed by the slow growth of bacteria inside a rock.
Whether you’re looking for opals or pearl nose rings, we are experts in creating beautiful designs for you. We have many jewelry makers working hard every day to create only the highest quality nose rings for you.
We have many different colors including white, blue, green, pink, purple, and more.
This diversity allows you to match any mood or outfit with your nose-piercing ring.
